Hellgate Eternity, formerly known as Hellgate Global, just opened its Open Beta Server. Unfortunately, the game is blocking the IP addresses of certain countries from accessing the game because of some sort of agreement with Local Country Game Publishers with HanbitSoft. The blocked country IP addresses are Korea, Japan, China, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
If you are from any of the above mentioned countries then you won’t be able to access and play Hellgate Eternity. I’m in the Philippines and that also means I won’t be able to play Hellgate Eternity as well. It sucks but what can we do about it? As far as I know, we don’t have any Local Game Publisher publishing Hellgate here in the Philippines. So, where do we play Hellgate? I sure won’t play Hellgate Resurrection because I don’t speak nor read Japanese and I sure hell don’t speak nor read Korean too. Read the rest of this entry »
