Videos of Bouncing Boobs in Second Life

Posted in Second Life on October 21st, 2010 by R.O.M.E.L.O.

Bouncing boobs is a very hot topic in Second Life. I know it because one of my blogs is getting lots of search referrals from Google search using the keywords “bouncing boobs” and “second life”. If lots of people are searching for it then it’s definitely a hot topic. I have also written a of post about it at VirWORLD titled Phoenix Viewer’s Bouncing Boobs and at In2ndLife titled Bouncing Boobs, Imprudence Viewer.

As to why people are searching for bouncing boobs in second life, it’s either they want to know how to enable or setup this feature in their Second Life viewer or they just like looking at bouncing boobs on a virtual female avatar. Whatever the reason is, I don’t care as long as their search for bouncing boobs in second life leads them to my blogs. LOL! Read the rest of this entry »

Viewing Your Second Life Texture Cache

Posted in Second Life on October 11th, 2010 by R.O.M.E.L.O.

In Second Life, images or textures that are loaded by your preferred Second Life viewer are saved in a cache folder and I have always wondered how to view them. A texture file in the cache folder looks something like this, “0d345a06-cbf0-dbbf-eae6-d7ed1fdff4b0.texture”. The long file name is actually the texture’s UUID (or Universally Unique Identifier) and the file extension used is .texture. Unfortunately, the .texture file format is not recognized by any of the graphics editors I have installed in my computer.

View Cache Folder Textures

Now, if it is not recognized then how can I view them? The answer to the question was pretty simple. I just had to view them using the Second Life viewer. What I did is, I created a small box (1×1 meter), named it Texture Viewer and wrote a simple script that displays a texture from its UUID on all the box’s faces. Read the rest of this entry »

My 3 Main Avatars in Second Life

Posted in Second Life on October 10th, 2010 by R.O.M.E.L.O.

I’m really somewhat into this virtual world called Second Life. I got serious with it in 2007 and 3 years later I’m still into it although not as much as before where I’ll spend 8 to 16 hours a day in Second Life. These days, I only spend a few hours a week in-world mostly just to build something or to check out a new place or simply see what’s happening at my place.

My 3 Main Avatars

In Second Life, you are represented in the virtual world by an avatar and, currently, I have 3 main avatars. They are my main avatars because they are the ones I use regularly in Second Life. All three avatars where born in Second Life in 2007 and their names are Melo Chevalier, Rom Ireton and Kabalyero Kidd. Read the rest of this entry »

Phoenix Viewer, Are You Using It?

Posted in Second Life on October 9th, 2010 by R.O.M.E.L.O.

First of all, you might be asking yourself, “what the hell is a Phoenix Viewer?” Well, the Phoenix Viewer is a Third Party Viewer used in accessing the virtual world of Second Life or the Second Life grid. It was based on the now dead Emerald Viewer project and it is being actively developed by former Emerald Viewer Developers headed by LordGregGreg Back.

Phoenix Viewer

As a member or resident of Second Life, I regularly use Third Party Viewers in accessing the Second Life grid and the Phoenix Viewer is one of these Third Party Second Life Viewers. Unlike the Emerald Viewer before, the Phoenix Viewer is not a favorite of mine even though it’s just a renamed version of the Emerald Viewer. Read the rest of this entry »
