Media Boycott Will Not Hurt Duterte ★ It Will Only Hurt The People
Media Boycott Will Not Hurt Duterte ★ It Will Only Hurt The PeopleTo all Media People out there, a Media Boycott will not hurt nor affect President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte but it will definitely hurt and affect the people of the Philippines.
If you guys boycott and not cover President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte then you guys are just helping him do whatever he wants without no one questioning him and that is very, very dangerous.
What you guys need to do is cover everything and I mean everything President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte does, not because it benefits him or you like him or you enjoy it but because you guys want to protect the people.
President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte, honestly, is a very dangerous President because he openly condones violence, killing and assassinations and shows a complete disregard to due process and rule of law.
For a President, eliminating corruption, illegal drug trade and crime are all great objectives and no one in their right minds will disagree to that.
But, disregarding due process and just killing everyone you think are criminals and even encouraging the public to do the killing themselves is just plain dangerous, scary and stupid.
This is where you guys, the Media, comes in. In order for, us, the People of the Philippines to not suffer another Marcos-like regime, you guys, the Media, must closely cover, monitor and, if must, expose everything President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte does.
This is my plea to everyone in Media, local and international, please, please, please don't boycott and don't stop covering President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte.
You guys, the Media People, are our only line of defense against tyranny. I hope it never happens with President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte's administration but, to ensure it never happens, we need you guys out there.
