Super Hero Squad Online is a Superhero Themed MMO that features Superheroes and Super Villains from the Marvel Universe. I’ve been playing this game for some time now and, I must admit, I like playing it. I guess being able to play my favorite Marvel Superheroes like Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Thor, Iron Man and others is one of the reasons why I like playing this game.
The game is basically made for kids because Super Hero Squad Online is based on the Super Hero Squad Cartoon Show shown at Cartoon Network. Honestly, as much as I love my Marvel Superheroes, I’ve only watched the cartoon a couple of times with my kids. I think they like watching Disney’s Phineas and Ferb better than Cartoon Network’s Super Hero Squad Show.
Fortunately, this post is not about the Super Hero Squad cartoon show. It’s about my squad in Super Hero Squad Online and, as of this writing, my squad has a total of 14 Superheroes. The 14 Superheroes are:
- Black Widow
- Captain America
- Cyclops
- Falcon
- Iron Man
- Hulkbuster Iron Man
- Miss Marvel
- Spider-Man
- Black Suit Spider-Man
- The Thing
- Tuxedo Thing
- Ultimate Thor
- War Machine
- Wolverine
My squad started with only 4 Superheroes and these are Cyclops, Falcon, Ms. Marvel and The Thing. I got the other Superheroes by buying them from the Store except for Captain America, Hulkbuster Iron Mand and Tuxedo Thing. I got Hulkbuster Irong and Tuxedo Thing by redeeming a Special Promo Code and I got Captain America for being a Close Beta Tester.

I also currently have 3 Superheroes in Max Level and these are Captain America, Ultimate Thor and Wolverine. I’m thinking of MAXing Spider-Man next and, hopefully, I’ll be able to get enough Gold Coins to buy Gladiator Hulk from the Store. Gladiator Hulk is the newest Superhero or character added into Super Hero Squad Online and you can buy him from the Store for only 1,000 Gold Coins.
Super Hero Squad Online is definitely a game you can let your kids play. It’s simple, it’s easy to play and best of all it’s fun playing a Superhero like Captain America or Spider-Man. Just don’t expect too much from the game or you will be disappointed. Just think of it as a casual game with your favorite Marvel Superheroes and Villains.
